THE ALCHEMIST

         Santiago was a Shepherd boy who used to live in Andalusia, Spain. He loves freedom, so he used to travel a lot with his sheep.

                                            

       He was obsessed for a girl where he met her in Tarifa. The reason why, he was heading towards the Tarifa to meet her. 

       Next day he started his journey towards the Tarifa. As time goes, sun was set and the night was about to come, so he decided to rest tonight. He saw one Church and he left his sheep near the church and he Slept below the Tree called Sycamore .He was dreaming, in which he saw Pyramids in Egypt were filled with Treasures, and Treasures were calling Santiago to Egypt.

      Looking to this dream, Santiago suddenly woke up and bit confused because this was not the first time he saw the dream.So, he decided to ask the meaning of the dream. He  went to one of famous Lady who was expert in interpreting the dreams.

       She was ready to interpret, but on one condition. She was looking for 1/10^th part of the treasure if he finds it. Finally, Santiago was ready to give 1/10^th part to her. As she explained, Santiago marched ahead for his journey.

                         

     He went one of city and sat on the bench thinking about the dream. Suddenly , Old age man arrives and he said, “My name is Malchizedek and I’m the King of Salem”. Santiago just ignored him. Malchizedek said “I can help to figure out your Treasury” . Santiago was excited. Further he added “You go and sell your sheep and follow your dream.”

     Finally, Santiago sold his sheep and earned some money and he went to one of ship which was heading to Africa.

    In this way, journey of Santiago was Started towards his dream.

    He reached in Tangiers , Morocco. As soon as he reached there, some thieves stolen his money. He was upset for a moment. Later he just smiled and said “No worries, I have came for mission I will complete it.”

                        

     He went to one of crystal store and worked there as a seller. He sold some of crystals and got some food to eat and little money. He was working nearly for a year but he was aware about his dream.So, he left his jobs.

     He was pleased to a Crystal Merchant and said “Good Bye” and went on his journey.

    To cross the Sahara Desert he caught the caravan. In the caravan he met with English man who was looking for the Alchemist . Santiago and English man became close friends. As they were heading, they came to know about the war in the desert. So they decided to wait till the end of it. They went nearby place called Al Fayoum.

     By the time, English man was searching for the Alchemist and Santiago was helping him.They met one girl named Fatima. She addressed them about the Alchemist.

      Time, Santiago fell in love with her. Everyday he used to spend time with her near a well. So, he deciding to stay here and marry her. But Fatima told Santiago “Your true love will never keep you away from your Dreams. I will wait for you Santiago, you move ahead to your dream.”

      Same day , at evening he left for his dream marching towards Egypt.

     Finally he reached in front of Pyramid in Egypt. He started digging near Pyramid. But None-the-less he was again trapped by thieves. They started hitting him and took his all the money. Santiago was really disguised and without thinking he started telling his story of his dream to them and this was the reason why he came to Egypt.

      Suddenly, thieves started laughing. One of them said “ Hahaha he is mad, is there someone who can think of his dream such way? Me too saw one dream, there is tree in Spain called Sycamore behind it contains lot of Treasure. But I didn’t followed my dream.”

     Thieves were laughing a lot and finally they left him. Slowly, Santiago came to know where is real Treasure. So, he again left to his hometown Spain. As he reached, he started digging and guess what he got his Treasure.

    Finally, he decided to return 1/10^th  part of his treasure to famous lady and will go back to Desert to Marry Fatima.

                                    

1)     The treasure is where you are but you need to go out to know it.

    2)     Don’t stop moving.

    3)     Follow your Heart.
